I wanted to post this in the welcome community as this paper, written by a doctor with cancer, is an important read for every cancer patient. It gives an alternative perspective about the standard cancer treatments people are offered and how important it is to know exactly what treatments you are getting and what the immediate and long term goals of the treatment are. The norm is to over-treat patients, and generally doctors err on the side of being too liberal with treatment as opposed to being too conservative. Therefore it is up to you the patient to evaluate every detail of the treatment including dosage, get all perspectives and opinions possible, and decide what is best for you!
