Adenocarcinomas is a very common form of cancer that can affect many different parts of the body. Adenocarcinomas specifically affect glandular tissues (epithelium). Since glandular tissue is prevalent throughout the body, this cancer of the epithelium can affect many organs, such as the colon, cervix, pancreas, prostate, stomach, thyroid and breast. When a tumor is discovered, a biopsy is taken to determine if the tumor is an adenocarcinoma.
